Highlights: May is gone!

May is over! I can’t believe how fast time passes! Of course, in these past weeks, many things have happened. I have been visiting, tasting, accomplishing things. But as it would take a very long post to talk about all the things that I liked during the month, I will simply show my highlights :

Mother’s day: we hosted this year’s celebration, we started with a nice brunch followed by a shopping spree with the jolie-mom (mother in law).

Mac Cosmetics Fruity Juicy: I am not very keen on tropical stuff, yet, this collection  has such an amazing colour palette! And funny thing is that I find it quite versatile, you can do rather discreet looks or go crazy and do a nice smoky eye with a pop of green or blue or pink! Personally, I got the facepowder (Oh my passion) and one of the lipsticks (calm heat).

Montreal Fine Arts Museum Chagall: The MBAM has been doing an amazing job at presenting top notch exhibitions and this one is no exception! It is lively, vibrant, plenty of colours, creativity, arts, theater, drama, music! A must see before it goes (up until June 11)!

Tommy Montreal: A beautiful coffee place I haven’t had the chance to visit. It is a nice coffee, in a really good location, right next to the Basilique de Notre Dame in Old Montreal. The service was very good, my chai latte was delicious and the vibe was very relaxed and fun. A new fave for sure!

Love is loveAfter the sucess of the amazing exhibition The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier presented for the first time by the Montreal Fine Arts Museum back in 2011, the iconic and bold designer strikes back, this time celebrating love. And what a better way to mix art, fashion and love than presenting bridal gowns! This exhibition is quite small, compared to that of 2011 (that I loved so much), but so beautiful! I totally fell in love with a couple of gowns, if I got the money, the body or the excuse to wear a wedding gown again lol. If you are in Montreal, or planning to visit the métropole before October 9, and you love fashion and art, this exhibition is a must!
